This Privacy Policy explains how Blackbird, trading as “Blackbird SEO” (“Blackbird”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Blackbird lead management platform (“Service”).
Depending on your billing region, the entity responsible for your data (“data controller”) is Bucks28 LLC for clients in the United States (billed in USD), or Blackbird Digital Ltd for clients in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other regions (billed in AUD, NZD, GBP, CAD, or another non-USD currency). Full contact details for both entities are in Section 10.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and password hash when you register.
Lead data: Customer contact details (name, phone, email, address, service request) received from your website(s) via web form or inbound call. This data belongs to your customers — Blackbird processes it on your behalf.
Billing information: Payment method details are processed and stored by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never see or store raw card numbers.
Usage data: Log entries, IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps generated when you use the platform.
Call recordings: Inbound calls to your Twilio numbers may be recorded. Recordings are stored in Twilio and accessible from your dashboard. You are responsible for disclosing call recording to your customers in accordance with applicable law.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver and operate the Service (routing leads, sending notifications)
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails and SMS alerts (new leads, billing events, account updates)
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data or your customers' lead data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
- Twilio — SMS notifications, inbound call routing, call recordings. Data shared: phone numbers, call content, SMS message body.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery. Data shared: recipient email address, email content.
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Data shared: billing details, payment method tokens.
- Supabase — Database and authentication infrastructure. Data shared: all platform data (hosted in AWS us-east-1).
- Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, DDoS protection. Data shared: IP addresses, request logs.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Lead data is retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 12 months after termination, after which it is deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.
5. Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and never in plain text. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We use role-based access controls to limit internal access to data. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials confidential.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
For users in New Zealand, this Policy is consistent with the Privacy Act 2020. For users in Australia, this Policy is consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. The current version is always available on this page.
